A MESSAGE FROM JIM COURIER
Dear tennis and music fans,
The time for the 2nd annual Grand Slam Jam in Austin has arrived. As you may
already know, the GSJ combines two of my greatest loves‹ music and tennis.
Last year we had over 7,500 people join us at the Frank Erwin Center to
enjoy some competitive and entertaining tennis. We also enjoyed great
support at our Thrills & Drills Clinic and fund raising dinner, all with the
purpose of raising money for the Hope Foundation, which we succeeded to the
tune of over $200,000.
The Hope Foundation, based in San Antonio, supports the largest clinical
cancer trials organization in the world. The vision of the Hope Foundation
represents a future that millions wish for every day an end to the suffering
and pain that accompanies cancer. I hope you will join us at our event and
help the Hope Foundation's continued fight against all forms of cancer.
This year the Grand Slam Jam will be held October 4th-5th. It will include
two of my close friends and long-time rivals: Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras.
Please join me in welcoming them to Austin, along with some of my musical
friends who will also be donating their time and talents to help fight the
battle against cancer. I look forward to seeing you there.
